Change for the Better

Things do not grow better; they remain as they are. It is we who grow better by the changes we make in ourselves.
— Swami Vivekananda

Never let yourself believe that change is impossible. When you don't like where you are in your career or, for that matter, in your life, don't be afraid to move forward and grow as a person.

We can go from wherever we are to wherever we want to be. It is through making ourselves better that we get the most out of life.

Here are some lists which might be helpful in your growth journey and see if they help you become a "better" you.

  1. Get out of your comfort zone.

Easier said than done, right? But really, this is the first step we need to make if we want to create changes in our life. It doesn't necessarily mean that you have to make drastic change in one go. You can start by trying something you've never done every single day. Don't be afraid to try new things.

2. Don't compare your own life with anyone else.

You went to Instagram and saw your friends having their grandest vacation, buying luxury bags and shoes while you sit in your desk, feeling sorry for yourself for not having that kind of lifestyle and comfort. Don't be. Who would know, your promotion is just around the corner. Remember that each of us has our season, and you need to wait for your time.

3. Stay positive.

When we feed our minds with negative thoughts, we became our worst enemy. How you see life has a significant impact on how you come up with solutions to your problems. Optimistic rationale creates positive and great things for yourself.

4. Admit your mistakes.

Remember that it's not how many mistakes you've made but what you learn from them that defines you as a person. Accept that you won't always make the right decisions; it means you are trying and learning in life.

Keep in mind that there are many ways to become a better person, but the bottom line is your willingness to become the better, if not, the best version of yourself.
